Dear RASA Recreation Families
We wish you and your family the best during these challenging times and we look forward to the day we see your kids with us again. Even though we knew this would be a distinct possibility, I don’t think anyone could prepare themselves for the disappointment of a cancelled season. I have personally had an empty feeling with the news that the WYSA, our governing soccer body here in Wisconsin, had canceled all soccer in Wisconsin.
With the spring season being cancelled because of the Coronavirus epidemic, RASA will be returning $35 to our Full Fall 2019/Spring 2020 Soccer year registrants. For those families that just signed up for the spring only season, you will receive a full refund.
For those concerned with the disparity between the two refund levels, those who had registered for the Full Fall 2019/Spring 2020 Soccer year, the RASA player fees are based on the underlying cost for RASA’s recreational soccer over a two-part season. Costs for our full Fall 2019/Spring 2020 Soccer year registrants, such as uniforms, state player fees, and other registration related costs were incurred upfront and at this point unrecoverable. For our Spring 2020 only families, this is not the case, as much of those expenditures were placed on hold and not incurred this year.
To ensure refunds are provided to the proper person and address, clink the link below, where you will also have the option to donate your refund to a specific area of RASA, if you choose to do so.
The deadline to request your refund or allocate your donation is May 22nd. If you do not respond and fill out the form by May 22nd, your fees will be automatically donated to the RASA Player Scholarship and Program Fund.
For those requesting refunds, please allow up to 30 days from the day of your request to receive your check.
We regret we were unable to provide soccer for your kids this spring, but our eyes are already looking forward to the fall season and potentially some summer league offerings (stay tuned).
Thank you for selecting the RASA program for your child, and we wish you and your family the best of health during these uncertain times.

Over the past weeks we have been hopeful that this day would not come. This morning, the WYSA has communicated that the Spring 2020 season will be cancelled rather than delayed.
This includes leagues, tournaments, cup competitions, and special programs.
With the speed in which communication is dispersed, rather than hastily putting an email out that may be confusing, we will provide greater detail in an email late afternoon/early evening addressing the course that the Board and club has planned for.
Some basics on WYSA cancellation:
One of the biggest questions that has and will be asked about is fees. The Board planned for several different scenarios which included late start season, partial season, and no season. The plan for no season does include refunding a portion of player fees. Additional information specific to fees will be sent regarding amounts, options and process.
As this announcement is about an hour old, please allow us some time to put a more detailed course of action together for you.
Thank you all for being supportive and patient through this unique time.

RASA Recreation Families,
We hope that all is well and that your families are safe and healthy. Our goal is to continue with a 2020 Spring season and to provide the opportunity for kids to be active in a healthy physical activity after a long and stressful layoff.
We will be taking measures to provide a safe and healthy environment at SCORe for our membership. We will have a full list of safety measures and precautions that RASA will be implementing listed on the RASA website over the next days and weeks.
RASA would like to provide you with as much information as possible for the Spring 2020 season as we progress to normalcy.
RASA wants to provide you with an updated tentative timeline based on the most up-to-date information that we have received from the soccer governing bodies and state officials. This timeline is subject to change based on updates due to the fluid nature of the current health situation. We thank you for your continued cooperation and patience at this time while we navigate this new landscape.
Your team will not have a game on every date listed below. These are just the dates your team may have games. Please note your team may be scheduled for Friday evening games.
We will look to provide you with continued update on the RASA Recreational Spring Season around May 1 regarding any updates or changes.
Again, we thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

We want to provide you with a brief update with COVID-19 and the upcoming spring 2020 RASA Recreational Soccer Season.
Our recreational league season has been set to begin on May 2nd and 3rd.
At this time the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (our sanctioning body) has followed US Soccer and has suspended all activities until April 30th. We are making the decision to adhere to WYSA guidelines and practices pertaining to COVID-19, with no league games or practices to be held before April 30th.
Currently, we intend to begin our recreational league season on May 2nd, but due to the ever-changing landscape of both recreation and club season, we will be extending the recreational league season to June 27th and 28th, with the hopes of ending sooner.
This provides flexibility for rainouts, reschedules, or extended delay in the start of our season.
TIMELINE OF SPRING SEASON ROSTERS AND SCHEDULE RELEASE
We continue to monitor the ever-changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our little soccer community and life. We will keep you update via email and information posted to the RASA website.
