COVID CASE REPORTING

RASA Recreational PLAYER COVID CASE REPORTING

Please provide the following information:

  • Player's Name
  • Player's Team Name
  • Date of exposure (or when you think it was)
  • Was your player tested - include the date
  • Last date of contact with your team

The following requirements are set by the WYSA as part of WYSA's Phase 3 Return to Play for Fall 2020, released on August 14th.  These are statewide requirements set in place by the state soccer governing body.

PRACTICE PROTOCOLS

All PRACTICE protocols are requirements of WYSA Phase III Return to play

 

Recommended Soccer Bag Items for Players

  • Shin guards
  • Cleats
  • Clean Face Mask
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Labeled Water Bottles
  • Personal, Labeled Soccer Ball

 

BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE

  • Prepare and pack your water bottle for practice.
    • Players are NOT to share water bottles
    • Clearly mark your name on your water bottle.
  • Get dressed at home in your practice gear so that you can arrive at the practice site ready to play.
  • Players are recommended to pack and bring to practice personal sanitizing supplies, including hand sanitizers. Sanitizing materials should be clearly marked and not shared.
  • Follow PPE (face mask) procedures.
  • Wash your hands before departing for training or a match.
  • Conduct a daily temperature check for low grade fever (>100.4.) at home before training. If you have a fever, do not go to practice
    • Please refer to PLAYER COVID SYMPTOMS RESPONSIBILITY INFORMATION section
  • Travel with as few people as possible to practice (ex: one parent and one child).

 

ARRIVAL TO PRACTICE

  • Arrive at your designated practice time
  • Players should wait in their cars until their specific team practice time to head to practice field
  • Players are to wear PPE (face masks) to fields.
    • PPE are NOT to be worn during physical activity
  • It is recommended that parents/siblings remain in their vehicle, leave the facility, OR observe social distancing guidelines during the duration of practice
    • RASA Amendment - For younger players where a parent is required at field: Parents are required to practice safe social distancing at the field
  • Players should report to their designated practice field. 
  • Players should use hand sanitizer to sanitize hands upon arrival.
  • Coaches need to take attendance at each practice

 

AFTER PRACTICE

  • Players will follow PPE procedures, wearing face masks from fields to cars
  • Players are to sanitize hands following practice.

GAME DAY PROTOCOLS

All game day protocols are requirements of WYSA Phase III Return to play

Arrival 

  • Arrive at your designated pre-game time
  • Players should wait in their cars until their specific pre-game warmup time to head to game field
  • Parents should remain in cars until just before game start time
    • RASA Amendment:  For players too young to go to fields themselves for pre-game warmup, parents can accompany player to fields for pre-game warmup. Proper social distancing and face masks are to be worn. 
  • Players are REQUIRED to wear PPE (face masks) to fields.
  • Players should use hand sanitizer to sanitize hands upon arrival.
  • Coaches will take attendance
  • Only 2 (TWO) ADULT spectators per player are permitted at a game
    • RASA Amendment: siblings are not included in the 2 spectator count.
  • Spectators are to social distance 6 ft apart on the sideline unless within the same family unit
  • All Spectators are REQUIRED to wear a PPE (face mask) at all times.
    • If a spectator is unable to wear a PPE, that spectator is to watch the duration of the game from their vehicle or is required to leave the facility until the end of the match
  • Players not on the field of play are REQUIRED to wear a PPE
    • PPE are NOT to be worn during physical activity
  • Coaches are REQUIRED to wear a PPE
  • No handshakes, high fives, etc
     

Departure FROM GAME

  • Players are to wear PPE (face masks) from field to car
  • Players should use hand sanitizer to sanitize hands after game

PLAYER COVID SYMPTOMS RESPONSIBILITY INFORMATION

  • If a player has a temperature of 100.4° or higher they are required to stay home
  • If player has any flulike symptoms such as a cough, nausea, headache, body aches, chills, Player is required to stay home and consider being tested if symptoms persist
  • If exposed/direct contact to known COVID case, player should abstain from team activities until tested and negative results received. This could be up to 14 days.
  • If player suspects they have COVID, player is required to refrain from team activities until negative test received. This may take up to 14 days.

Parent/Spectator

  • If parent/spectator is exhibiting COVID Symptoms or has tested positive for COVID they are to refrain from attending all practices and games until negative test recevied.
